   Concept:  The concept behind the residency is to provide an artist with an experience that would inspire a unique piece of art. The art is hung in the lodge, and becomes a custom top sheet for a pair of handcrafted Foon Skis. The artwork is to commemorate their guests reaching their 10th anniversary with the lodge, and the skis are the ultimate longevity gift. Concept: After skiing in CMH Revelstoke on their rental fleet, Noor hired me to make her husband a personalized pair of skis for Christmas. Best Christmas present ever. Concept: It is a fact; most skis aren’t made big enough for the massive amounts of snow Revelstoke gets. Heliskiing in the Monashees require a ski a little fatter than most Heli skiers arrive with, and CMH Revelstoke likes to provide them with the perfect local ski, artwork to construction. Inspiration: The beautiful endless valleys of thick gnarly trees, avalanche paths, and high alpine peaks that cover CMH Revelstoke’s signature terrain.
